Wetsuits with Artificial Blubber
Recently, wetsuits have been created by the team of researchers with the
artificial blubber which are able to keep the deep sea divers warm in the icy
cold water. It is found by the researchers whenever rescue teams are diving
under the ice covered rivers or ponds, the survival time even in the best
wetsuits is very limited and for least time, this experience can be more
painful.
So a simple treatment has been developed by the researchers with
students of Engineering Colleges Jaipur, which
is able to improve the survival time for the conventional wetsuits by a factor
of three. This significant technology of the researchers perform by simply considering
the standard wetsuit inside the pressure tank which is bigger and also filled
with a heavy gas for about a day.
This treatment last for the about 20 hours which is far longer than
anyone who spend on a dive as per the researchers. This process can also be performing
in the advance with the wetsuit which is placed in the sealed bag to be opened
just before use.
In this process, the researchers have considered various strategies
which several animals use in order to survive in these frigid waters and they
have found various types. After many simulations and tests, it is found by the
researchers that this is a combination of two of these which are blubber like
material which is taking use of trapped pockets of gas.
The material by Top MBA Colleges in Rajasthan which is the standard for the wetsuits is neoprene
which is a cheap material and a mix of synthetic rubber materials processed
into a kind of foam and producing a closed cell structure similar to the
Styrofoam. They are trapped within the structure as well as occupying more of
the volume along with accounting the heat which gets transferred through it.
It is found by the researchers that if this trapped air is replaced with
the krypton, the insulating properties of the materials start increasing
dramatically which results in materials with the lowest heat transfer of any
wetsuits ever made.
