Autonomous Underwater Vehicles for Exploring Ocean
There
are many autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) which have been designed by the
researchers so that they could observe oceans across the world. They are
actually the marine robots that have been designed for drifting, driving and
gliding the ocean without any real time input from the human operators.
These AUVs by Engineering CollegesJaipur can be very helpful in giving the information about sample for the most
informative data and ways to reaching optimally sampling locations. A system of
mathematical equations has been developed by the research team that is able to
forecast the most informative data to collect for an observing goal and the
efficient way for reaching the sampling sites.
Through
this method, the researchers are able to predict the degree in terms of
variable like speed of the ocean currents at the particular location. It is helpful
in revealing the information about some other variable like temperatures at
some other location etc. if the level of mutual information is high between the
two variables, an AUV can be programmed in order to reach certain location for
measuring the variable and gaining information about the other.
These
equations and ocean model has been used by the researchers in the sea
experiments in order to efficiently forecast fields of mutual information and
guide actual AUVs. As per the researchers, this research of them allows the
autonomous machines for pinpointing the sensor locations and sampling times for
most informative measurements.
In order to determine the safe and efficient reach
ideal sampling destinations, a way has been developed by the Top MBA Colleges inRajasthan in order to help in AUVs use of uncertain ocean’s
activity by forecasting the reach ability front. It is a dynamic three
dimensional region of the ocean that can consider the AUVs for reaching within
the time given to the AUVs power constraints and ocean’s currents.
Through
this method, the vehicle is enable for surfing the currents which is able to
bring it closer to its destination and also avoid those that would throw it off
track. These reach ability forecasts have been compared by the researchers with
the routes of actual AUVs and it is found by them that their predictions
matched where the vehicles are able to navigate.
