Autonomous Underwater Vehicles are exploring Ocean
A new mission has been assigned to the autonomous underwater vehicles of observing the world’s oceans and for this purpose, the marine robots have been designed in order to drift, drive as well as glide through the ocean without any kind of real time input from human operators. So the system of the mathematical equations have been developed by the team of researchers which can forecast the most informative data in order to collect the given observing mission as well as the best way in order to reach the sampling sites.
With the help of this method, the researchers and Engineering College Rajasthan would be able to predict the degree to which one variable such as the speed of the ocean currents at the definite locations as well as it can also reveal the information about some other variable such as temperature at some other location. It is the quantity which is called mutual information.
If the degree of the mutual information is high between the two variables, then the AUV can be programmed in order to go the definite locations for measuring the one variable as well as in order to gain information about the other. The equations have been used by the researchers along with an ocean models which they have developed has been used by them in the sea experiments to successfully forecast the fields of the mutual information as well as guide actual AUVs.
According to the researchers, all the data are not equal as the criteria allow the autonomous machines in order to pinpoint the sensor locations as well as sampling the times where the most informative measurements can be made. In order to determine the safely and efficiently reach ideal sampling destinations, a way has been developed by the researchers in order to help AUVs use the uncertain ocean activity by forecasting out a front.
According to the researchers and Best B Tech Colleges Rajasthan, it is the dynamic three dimensional region of the ocean which an AUV would be guaranteed to reach within the certain time as well as it can give the AUVs power constraints along with ocean’s current.
