It has been found by the team of researchers that because of their part on their ability to hijack some of the cellular machinery of the infected host cell, the flu viruses can rapidly be evolved, specifically, a group of protein which is called chaperones. They are helpful in folding the correct shape for the other proteins. These viruses will not have the ability to evolve themselves as rapidly as when they could get extensive help from host chaperones if the viruses are unable to get help from chaperones.
Moreover, scientists of Best B Tech College Rajasthan said that the specific evolutionary trajectories which are followed by the individual flu proteins depend on host chaperone activities. It has been suggested by the findings that by interfering with host cell chaperones could help in preventing flu viruses from becoming resistant to existing drugs and vaccines. It is quite easy to make a drug that has the ability to kill the viruses as well as an antibody which is responsible for stopping a virus from propagating. On the other hand, it is also very difficult to make one that drug through which the virus does not promptly escape from once you start using it.
It has also been suggested by the data of the scientists that by targeting host chaperones might restrict the ability of a virus in order to evolve as well as allow us for killing viruses before they become drug resistant. Eight genome segments are carried by the flu viruses and all are encoded by RNA. Most of the flu vaccines target this protein but for this purpose, they have to be updated every year in order to keep with the protein’s ability to evolve quickly.
